The people of Beacon United Methodist Church had something special planned on the morning of Sunday, October 30th: a chance to celebrate and recognize the ministry work of Pastor Mark Galang and Pastor Jimmy Marzan and their families.
During English Worship, the two pastors were called to stand in front of our congregation as kind words of appreciation were shared. A prayer of thanksgiving was expressed for our two pastors and their families. Pastor Jimmy, preacher for our Ilocano Worship service has been sharing the good news in our congregation for over 10 years — first as a volunteer, then as a part-time staff. Pastor Mark is now in the middle of his fourth year of ministry at Beacon, the family's first appointment in the Pacific Northwest after moving from the Philippines.
Beacon is blessed to have the leadership and presence of our pastors and their families. One member who spoke about the pastors exclaimed, "Those words were from my heart."
